The 2017 new intake (32 Apprentices) for NVTI certified Apprenticeship Training Programme, had their orientation on 15th September 2017, at the Samartex Apprentices Training Room. Some managers, masters and old students (employed by Samartex) graced the occasion to usher the apprentices into Samartex and advise them on discipline, career building and rules and regulations of the company. The Management of Samartex on 15th September 2017, donated a brand new motor bike to the Aowin District Fire Service (Enchi), to facilitate their movement within the district. This donation followed a request by the Fire Service, who were facing challenges in carrying out their duties in the district. They needed other options of transportation aside the fire tenders which should be used solely for fighting purposes. The motor bike would be used mostly to reach cocoa farms which are not accessible. SAMARTEX HOSPITAL Samartex manages a 65-bed hospital for its employees, their registered dependants and the Samreboi Township and its surrounding communities. Samartex has so far paid for the premium of registered dependants for the Amenfi West District. National Health Insurance Scheme has registered its hospital as a Service Provider to the District National Health Insurance Scheme.The Hospital is manned by a qualified medical officer, a Clinical Psychologist, 6 registered nurses, a matron, a laboratory technician, an x-ray technician, ward assistants and other support staff.

Samartex Timber & Plywood Limited has declared war on mosquitoes in its operational areas of Samraboi in the Western Region of the country. The laudable and ambitious move has seen the leading timber firm teaming up with Envirosafe Ghana Limited, a top health safety company, to fumigate Samraboi and its catchment areas.
